Our Green IC research at ECE-NUS in collaboration with visiting researchers from University of Catania has been selected as quarterly publication highlight in the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, the flagship journal of the Solid-State Circuits Society

The innovation recycles the same RF source for several purposes from harvesting to data reception, transmission, clock extraction and indoor localization. It enables for the first time a complete system on chip from sensing to communications in a completely battery-less fashion, in a millimeter-scale form factor, and peak power lower than the microWatt mark.

The silicon demonstration by the NUS group paves the way to a new generation of systems that are green, extremely miniaturized, very low cost and able to perform complex sensing modalities such as indoor localization without any energy storage.
